Word Of The Day : Change

You really shouldn't say 'I love you' unless you mean it. But if you mean it, you should say it a lot.. People forget." - Jessica, 8 yrs old

I got this from this random blog I visited just now.
Really adorable.
It was a post about 'What Love Means?'.
Others are not really quite as memorable as that one.

Because I believe what Jessica said is true.
It's ever so often that we forget to love,
And that we're loved.

Sometimes we get caught up in this dog-eat-dog world,
That we need to be constantly reminded that there are people out there that love us for who we are and we should be living our lives with loving people.

So go out there and say it often to your loved ones.
"I love you."
I mean, it costs you nothing and still it's priceless.

******
It's 31st of December now.
Current time : 11.26 pm.

I'm currently sitting in the comfort of my living room,
Anas playing 'The Incredibles' next to me,
Muaz is playing some-really-lame-game at the other side,
Sarah and Dad are watching some-really-i-don't-know-what-nor-do-i-care movie,
Atiqah is watching an Indonesian telenovela (don't ask)
And Mom is doing house work.

I just came back from Jusco Bukit Raja.
It was rather a shocking thing to do, especially on New Year's Eve since it has always been sitting at home watching tv for every New Year's Eve.

The price of petrol is rising tomorrow.
By 70 cents.
So that's partially why we were out tonight.
To fill the tank of our very big Naza Ria.
And also because Jusco(s) nationwide (i think?) are having sale up till midnight.

If I am not broke, (or at the verge of being broke),
I would have joined the many crazy women rummaging through piles of clothes,
Labelled 50%,70%,10%, 20%,
Screaming at the Comforters' Section for a bargain,
Or even run crazy in Momoe because I want that really-cute-and-adorable-belt-with-ribbon-which-costs-RM 29.90-but-with-20%-discounts.
I would also ambush Padini, Guess, O'reef, Bata, Giordano and Voir if the shops are not closed yet when I got there.

But sad to say,
I always ended up panicking myself because the crowd is too big,
And instead of looking at clothes,
I look at people.

But then again it's ok,
I am waiting for the 'lala fashion' to be out,
And in come a new fashion.
I seriously think lala has taken over fashion world for nearly a year by now,
they should be out soon.
Ah, THEN I'll go gila about shopping.

The traffic was real crazy on the way to Jusco and back.
So i've heard it's the same at Bukit Tinggi.
Something about Aeon Bukit Tinggi doing concert or some sort.
Oh it is also predictable that the traffic is crazy because,
Most of the women are after the New Year's Eve's sale,
Most men are out driving to the nearest petrol station 'sebab esok harga minyak naik',
and most people are out to KL for countdown.

It is predicted that next year will be a good year for the Chinese(s).
With the 2 and the 8 in the same year. 2008.
It is also predicted that a lot of people will be getting married since it is considered a good year next year.
Hot date for marriage next year : 20-08-2008
So get yourself registered before all the halls, and hotels and wherever else is booked by 'people who are ready to settle down'.

I was also told by my dear bes-friend-who-is-in-NS-now-having-some-function-for-the-countdown not long ago,
That next year, 2008 will be a not-so-good year for the people born on the Horse year.
It seemed that she told me that 2007 was a good year for us.
I guess that explains both of us getting boyfriends before the end of the year.

Pengkaji Sosiopolitik Negara also said that next year will bring more unity as the Malaysians are stronger and ever now (despite the Hindraf demonstration),
Pengkaji Ekonomi Negara also said there will be a boost in the economy, even better than this year (eventhough they still wallop our money with the petrol hike).

However,
No matter how good or bad next year is going to be,
The fact is that we just have to hope the very best of it.
Because, both you and I don't know what's in store next year for us.
Therefore, this is why the word of the day is 'Change'.

When the new comes,
And the old goes,
It's not really the fact of overjoying upon the new,
Or mourning upon the gone of the old,
In fact what that really matters is the change.

Everything change.
Every single bit of life changes,
In every way,
Sometimes in ways we don't even notice.

If changing is for the better,
Then change.
If changing is for the worse,
Then don't.

Life change.
We change.
Nothing will not change,
Except for God himself.

So let us take a moment tonight,
Before the 2007 ends,
And before 2008 starts,
To give praises to God,
For making us live to witness today,
For all the blessings He gave us,
For all the good things that happened,
For all the misfortunes that had happened,
Because all these makes who we are this very moment.

Give our thanks to God,
For giving us chance to know people who has walked away from our lives,
For giving us chance to have people stay on with us,
For making us who we are today,
And more importantly,
For He still allows us to breathe today.

Let us also hope that
2008 will bring more blessings,
Great adventures,
Great people to meet,
Great things happening,
And overall, a great year to look forward.

Let bygones be bygones,
Forgive old mistakes,
But learn from the mistakes,
Forget bad times,
But always remember good times.

Have a great year ahead of you.
And to everyone out there,
Thanks for everything.
To dear friends and family,
Thanks for being there and I hope you will still stay on for many many years ahead.
Love you all a lot!

Deepest and true-est wish of Happy New Year,
From Khadijah Shamsul.
